In a race where James Egozi (Koene USA / Tony Kart) had gained the lead and lost the lead multiple times, it was hard to tell if the Floridian had the machine to win.

James Egozi enters Mini ROK this weekend with the most momentum, having picked up a Rotax National Championship just two weeks ago in New Jersey.

Kai Sorensen and James Egozi put their Tony Kart’s on the front row of the 34-kart strong Vortex Mini ROK class and look to be the drivers to beat.

Egozi took the Rotax Grand Finals by storm in 2016 where he competed in the Micro MAX category [as one of the youngest in the field] setting several fast-lap sessions and winning the pre-final.

For the second major event in a row, James Egozi delivered a knockout punch on Sunday.

Egozi would take the win, with Laroque in second, and Crews in third position.

It's as though these race weekends for James Egozi are scripted, as the Koene USA driver comes through yet again when it counts despite a mild heat racing record on Saturday.

It all came down to a battle between two in the Mini-Max Final, that is until James Egozi (Koene/TonyKart) was able to pull away from Diego LaRoque (Speed Concepts/Energy Kart) in the closing laps and take the win and the ticket to Brazil.
